Overall pretty happy with the cabinet. I had to install it surface mounted as I did not have the framing depth to recess it. The included screws for mounting should definitely not be used, the drywall anchor would be incredibly insufficient and fail with moderate loading of the cabinet. I installed backing in the framing prior to drywall and was able to mount it with two large screws. I also wish the electrical was able to be connected from inside the cabinet. Instead, the cabinet is delivered with a 16ga stranded wire whip that comes out of the top of the cabinet. This means that to have the cabinet lay flush to the wall I had to put a small junction box at the top of the cabinet that I will have to cover with trim later. The lighting is a great accent but insufficient as a sole light source for a bathroom if you are thinking about using it as such. Really wanted this cabinet for the interior outlets so I could keep my toothbrush out of sight, and for that it has been great. The door hinges seem to be of decent quality, they offer standard adjustments and provide a great soft close, hopefully they last. Were very happy with this medicine cabinet, especially for the amount of storage it adds. It has significantly reduced bathroom countertop clutter while maintaining a modern look. Installation was fairly straightforward if youre familiar with French cleat mounting, but the instructions were vague and the diagrams lacked detail. We also had one of the included drywall anchors break during installation and needed to replace it. The storage features are excellent. The included toothbrush holder and organization cups are well designed, and the adjustable shelves provide plenty of space for toiletries, skincare products, and other essentials. The LED lighting is bright without being harsh and provides even illumination. The defogger works well, although it seems most effective in the center of the mirror. One thing to note is that the power cord is quite short, so you may need an extension cord depending on your outlet location. My only real complaint is that the surface-mounted design sticks out from the wall more than Id prefer. This was the perfect vanity mirror light combo I needed for my basement bathroom. I have been slowly working on finishing my basement and added a small bathroom in the basement. I have a upflush system in the bathroom so I needed a vanity that is modern, not too bulky, and does not need a lot of electricity (watts). This checked all three boxes. It is super light, recessed and consumes minimal power due to LED lights. Love the three seperate light color/brightness. I had to cut a stud to get the light to be recessed, but given none of my basement studs are load bearing, that wasnt a issue. The vanity itself though is really nice and feels premium. Overall, this is a well-made and sturdy wall-mounted medicine cabinet with mirror. It looks great once installed and feels like a quality piece. When it arrived, the top was damaged and looked like it may have been previously handled or improperly cleaned. The finish appeared to be deteriorating, similar to what can happen when an abrasive cleaner is used on this type of painted surface. (For cabinets like this, it's best to clean the painted finish with mild soap and water, while only the mirror should be cleaned with glass cleaner.) Thankfully, customer service resolved the issue right away, and I was very happy with how they handled it. The reason I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is the smell inside the cabinet. My husband assembled the cabinet and didn't notice any odor during installation. I only noticed it after it was mounted on the wall when I opened the doors. It has a noticeable burnt or smoky smell inside the cabinet that has lingered for over a week. I'm hoping it eventually goes away, but since the cabinet is already installed, returning it really isn't practical. Lastly, as several other reviewers mentioned, the assembly instructions could be clearer. Fortunately, I had already read the reviews before putting it together, and one review pointed out a step that wasn't well explained, which made the assembly much easier. Despite those issues, this is a sturdy, well-made medicine cabinet that looks great in our bathroom. If the odor eventually disappears, I'd be very happy with the purchase.. Bernadette. US.
