We absolutely love our Mandujano Murphy Bed in the Barnwood finish. After downsizing, we needed our larger office to double as a guest room, and this bed is perfect. The Murphy bed came out beautifully! The materials are high quality, heavy and sturdy. The hydraulic lift mechanism was a great touch to deal with the load so it’s very smooth and easy to take out and put away. Securing to the wall is a MUST as well to avoid accidental injury. We really appreciate that the bed pieces are all wood. No particleboard at all! It took a while to put together, so we would say to allow extra time before someone needs to sleep on it. Be patient and you’ll have a great piece! Our wall studs did not match up to the suggested positions for the anchors, so we adapted that to our needs and used two extra anchors. The hydraulic arms are very strong, so you need to be careful with the construction to have someone hold the top vertical if opening the bed while under construction. Once the anchors are in place, the unit is absolutely solid and when a mattress is added, the pressure from those pieces do exactly what they should - allowing the bed to lowered and raised smoothly and safely .
