Beautiful piece! Looks even nicer in person. I paid for subcontractors off Angi's list, through Wayfair, to handle the assembly. That went well. Very nice men who were efficient and kind. They had it assembled in 2 1/2 hours and it would have taken me at least a full day. You pay extra for this and it is worth the fee. There are three areas on the piece that need to be replaced by Wayfair (contacting them tomorrow). A door that is warped and does not match up with the door next to it, a flaw in the center main door, and a door that does not soft close as it should. The soft close feature is so nice on all the other doors and drawers. The handles are beautiful and nicely made. The color of the armoire is gorgeous. Both the directions and holes predrilled were fairly easy to assemble. Due to the size it came in 3 sections but once the first was assembled it went much faster. We are pleased with armoire as far as the way it looks but the lack of the 5th star in the rating was simply due to the material in the outer pieces. Third one of these that I have purchased. I found them easy to assemble, and they have a sturdy structure - love that they are solid wood (except for the backing). Have stained all with Minwax wood finish oil-based ‘Colonial Maple’ Semi-transparent interior stain. They look great ! Though the boxes had encountered some bumps and bruises, the contents within each of my shipments remained safe from harm - I would attribute that to the solid packaging. I wasn't expecting to like this product so much! The good: very clean lines, easy to assemble, and easy to adjust the doors. My house was a flip and they didn't really provide me with a coat closet; this took care of that in an awkward, unused corner of a hallway. I also replaced the hardware to match the cabinets in the rest of my house (it comes with some cheaper black plastic ones, pictured before and after I replaced them with brass handles). The bad: some pieces aren't pre-drilled so you're boring into the MDF with screws. In other cases, the pre-bored holes might be mis-aligned. For instance, on the right side door, the lock is pre-drilled too far away from the striker tab, so it doesn't lock; this isn't a big issue as I wasn't planning on using this for securing anything. My husband is in the construction business and does a lot of woodworking projects as a hobby. Even so, it took the two of us almost three hours to assemble.
