“Modern luxury” is absolutely correct. It is beautiful. Everyone who comes into my office compliments it. They usually come up and run their hand over the top, it looks and feels wonderful. This desk is very solid and heavy. It assembled relatively easily. The drawers came assembled which is great. The only difficulty in assembly was aligning holes that cannot be seen easily. One very nice feature that was not explained in the description is that the drawers and slanted leg can be reversed so you can orient the slanted leg on either side of that matters in your particular set up.. This desk is countertop height. I did not read the measurements as I assumed it was a standard desk height. I took 5 inches off each leg with a saw and it looks great. A little more work than I wanted to do but this is a solid well constructed desk. The top is preassembled you just have to assemble the legs. Very easy.
