It took me about 4 hours but I double checked the instructions before screwing the pieces together. I’m not really going to use it for food prep so don’t know how that would work. This is a great product. It’s wasn’t difficult to put together but it took a long time due to so many pieces. It took about 5.5 hours to assemble for one person but I think would be quicker and easier with 2 people. Overall it is a nice kitchen island and is what I was looking for. I was worried that the island might be too big, but it has a nice size and decent working height. The stainless steel top will help provide a hygienic surface when I perform tasks like making sausages. The open shelves will help for storing the fry pans and Dutch ovens that are usually clumsier to put in the cupboards. The side compartments will help for storing the cat food. The kitchen island will be more useful than the kitchen table I never used. The unit ships in two major pieces - the top and the lower part. There are also two smaller counter supports for the overhung section. The top is very heavy. It is bonded to a thick section of wood. Assembly is pretty easy with about 8 fasteners. The stainless steel corners of the top have some grinding marks on it and give the corners a slightly different color. They could have been buffed better but are acceptable. I broke a drawer pull during assembly. They are installed on the inside of the drawer. I did not realize that the pulls had posts that went part of the way into the hole. When removing the pull to put it on the outside. One half of the pull came out and the pull broke. Partially it was my fault but the pulls are flimsy and thin. The island is great for what I need it for. Materials feels very sturdy. The instructions were easy to follow and everything has pre drilled holes wherever screws were needed. There were a few negatives though, there were quite a few pieces that were we scratched or crushed. I did also get sent wrong pieces for the drawer assembly ( i got 6 30 pieces when it was supposed to have 3 30 and 3 31) I was able to just unscrew the side rails and flip them and it worked out fine. My only big complaint is the shelf that gets screwed in didn’t hold and popped all the screws out All said and done its definitely a heavy sturdy island for the price. Anonymous. Sat Aug 23 2025

Lots of assembly! Color from pic is true. Levers go up and down on the sides of the drawers to get them in the tracks. Stainless had protective coating but missing in places. Had to polish to try and get matching finish. Had to shim the counter up a bit to give the drawers clearance to freely open and close. All in all, good looking piece for the money. Would make a more solid workstation off the casters. So heavy and so many pieces, had to make it work after delivery. No way to return this. Always a risk with furniture delivered like this.. Dale.
