I have an adjustable bed and did not want to handle all that would be involved to attach a headboard to this kind of bed. I wanted a fairly flat, light-weight headboard that I could simply mount on the wall, and this one was perfect for that. You have to assemble the headboard, so pay attention to the instructions! Very easy to put to together. It is a very sturdy bedframe for the price. The “espresso” color is fairly accurate in person vs what you see online in the pictures. The only reason we give this bedframe 4 stars is because one of the posts came damaged as seen in the second picture. Additionally, instructions were pretty straightforward. There was one moment where it isn’t straightforward, as it doesn’t mention there is not a pre drilled hole for a screw for the middle portion of the frame. The bed frame has been pretty sturdy since we put it together, and had no issues putting our premium king sized mattress on it.
