I really like this run! If you don’t over stretchpull the chicken wire, you can get it nice and taught without waves and sags. I cut the chicken wire in 21 foot lengths, so that there was plenty on the outside bottom for cinder blocks or something to weight everything down. Yay, one step closer to getting our chickens!! We live in the country, so we wanted to make sure our girls would be safe while also making sure they have dedicated shade in our hot summers, and this is perfect. While this was pretty straightforward to put together, just know, you will become one with the zip ties. If you think, "there is no way we'll use that many zip ties", trust me, you will. A tip, once you get the frame up and you're ready to start putting up the wire, have a second person, but don't work on different parts, connect one part of the wire, then work your way to the other side before the other person starts on anything. You'll want someone on the outside of the run and someone inside to do adjustments (stretching and holding the wire, etc). If you try to do both sides at once, you'll have to redo parts...hopefully this helps save you a potential headache. Once it's up, it's great, the shade cloth really makes a big difference in heat!. Great Size and Sturdy Chicken Run I’m really happy with this chicken coop run! It’s a great size and gives my chickens plenty of room to move around, scratch, and enjoy being outside. Excellent duck coop. Easy to set up with my grand childrens assistance. I added more layers of poultry wire and hardware cloth to the sides and top make break-ins more difficult. Also hardware cloth used as ground floor and apron covered with sod and then pine shavings. Placed the heavy duty XL anti-diggers around the perimeter. We have not had any intrusions in this set-up.. This cage was 'as expected', seems pretty sturdy and was pretty straight forward and easy to put together. Took a little time, I did it by myself, but all the screws and brackets seem solid. using it for a rooster that we need to keep away from the other roosters, so it fulfills our need--with one major flaw. Now, I knew this going in and we remedied it on our own with zip ties and chicken wire, but be aware that the only roof is the vinyl/tent top and that tent top will not keep out a raccoon or other eager predator in any way. We have a tiny 2 x2 coop inside this run that we can lock at night, but do add some kind of chicken wire under the canopy if you plan to rely on it for safety, which can easily be done before you put the canopy on. I wish it came with a secure roof, but from what I am seeing, none of these come with a solid roof, so this will have to do, and it seems to be working out for us.. Daniel. Bloomington, IN. The packages arrived quickly and in good condition. The components are heavyweight and seem to be of good quality. I have given it four stars based on the quality of the components. I am currently dealing with some issues with my back and I am unable to assemble it at this time I will update this review once I have gotten it put together 52026 UPDATE I finally hired a contractor to put the coop together and at first it seemed a bit flimsy just at the joints but once the wire was completely attached and the shades put on it is nice and sturdy.
