The shelves are made of solid wood. Although the mounting hardware looks a bit flimsy at first, the shelves feel very stable once they are properly anchored to the wall. I recommend purchasing your own wall anchors, as the ones included are not the best quality. I wish they could offer more colors. I would have preferred a version on a darker color.. Jose. Olney, MD. Looks very nice in my bathroom and good quality. Only reason I’m not doing 5 stars is because there is a pre drilled hole right on the middle of the bottom shelf for extra security but it ruins the whole look with a black screw right there at eye level. I love this shelf unit. Looks great over my coffee bar. I do wish that there was an LED strip under the bottom shelf. Putting it together was a breeze by myself was extremely easy and took me well under an hour. It is very hard to hang.
