I was looking for smaller electric fireplaces to fit within a space I have when you enter my home. I also wanted something on the slimmer side that wouldn’t protrude out from the wall too much. This unit allows wood framing and can be installed without a surround, finishing material installed right up to the glass for a simplified modern look, or with the durable 3” stainless steel surround. The unit even comes with a stainless steel cover for protection when not in use. Tahoe 45ol comes with a rock and Black Onyx fire glass media, and a stainless steel frame.

Love these. I have three they are not sturdy and the material is cheap Chinese bent fender. Not one of them aligns correctly and there is a whole song and dance to make the doors close. However once done it ignites easy and gives a lot of heat and a nice flame that can be seen on three sides. I ordered the 50in linear electric fireplace for my bedroom and I love it. This is the second electric fireplace I have gotten and the other one I got was by a different brand and while I really like it, I like this one even more for its very subtle controls. I had to really zoom in so you can see them. From standing height you cannot see the switch and you cannot see the blacked out controls on the face of the fireplace.
