I received the packaged headboard this PM and assembled it in about 30 minutes. It took about an hour additional to mount it to my existing queen size bed frame. There are 3 mounting sleeves in the headboard and depending on your selection of height you may only use 2 2 machine screws per side. I purposefully selected the height of the headboard to allow me to use 3 mounts per upright. Once I measured everything and got it assembled I attached the headboard to my frame using 4 long timber frame screws, plus 4 oversized washers and 4 finishing washers to keep the framing screws from slipping thru the washer hole. It feels very secure and certainly looks more adult than what I had. It matches my darkening curtain perfectly and the horizontal stripes in the drapes match the horizontal rows of the stitching. I will make the frame more sturdy later this spring but this will more than hold the headboard till then and it really livens the look up, I think.. Paul. Tue Apr 28 2026
