Overall, we are very satisfied with this work bench. It looks nice and fits perfectly in the room. It will be very useful for my husband. It took us about seven hours to put together. We’re retired and just took our time to make sure we did everything correctly. I have on recommendation and one comment. Recommendation The bench top is in two pieces. Even with all the screws and brackets attached it still bends slightly in the middle when you move it. We highly recommend building it exacting where it will be placed. We built it on a tarp about three feet from the wall. When we lifted it a few inches to remove the tarp the center where the two pieces of wood meet pinched a bit which slightly split the wood. Comment The instructions are all very small line sketches, no words or real pictures. You really had to look closely to decipher if the part was the correct direction or even where it went. These Hevea butcher block countertops were just what I wanted for my new office. They were well packaged and arrived without damage. A few coats of matte poly were easy to apply.
