For the cam lock screws, follow the tip in the booklet to take the plastic part off first and push them into the slots before putting the screws in. Although the outcome was great, the process was horrendous. The desk is beautiful, great color, glossy, looks fantastic. It is sturdy, functional and I love that I can fold it down if I need the space. The shelf underneath is a great addition so yeah, absolutely love the desk but the assembly process was brutal. The “instructions” were a single piece of paper with pictures and brief descriptions. The pieces were not labeled which made it even harder. I am sure that there are people that are more builder savvy than I that wouldn’t have had as much trouble as I did, but I ultimately had to find a video online of someone building this desk and watch it 15 times before I was able to complete it.
