We are very satisfied with the Farmhouse Murphy Bed. The actual product is well represented online, including the color. It took my husband about 12 hours to assemble by himself. It would go a bit faster with a second person. There were a lot of pieces and he did follow the instructions which were well written. The only reason 4 vs 5 stars due to the following: assembly time (it still would take a while for 2 people to assemble) and the cabinet would look better with screw caps giving it a finished look. No one has slept on it yet, but assume it will be fairly comfortable for guests. We would have gone with a thicker mattress but followed the guidelines to make sure the cabinet would close. The slats seem to support the mattress. We hope the mattress does not slide around too much once someone tries to sleep on it. The bed does have to be weighted down to keep it from rising off the floor if no one is on the bed. See photos showing foot of bed not weighted down and weighted down with ankle weights. We plan to place a side table to offer a night stand. The small shelf looks a bit flimsy, so we will be cautious. I am not very tall and was able to open and close with ease. Nice cabinet with a lift up door. Reducing a star for structural reasons. Fewer cam locks than expected so the seems do not pull together as tight as you would like between the vertical and horizontal pieces. I drilled some additional cabinet screws in from the bottom and top to help stabilize it. Downside of that is the particle board isn't very strong either and it broke out the side despite using small screws. Would recommend predrilling anywhere that you plan to add screws since it's pretty weak. Overall its the size and style I wanted for this particular scenario so I'm keeping it but don't expect a flawless piece here. Esthetics are nice. This ironing board cabinet is a smart space-saving solution. The cabinet is installed 3.5” into the wall, leaving a little more than 4 inches of cabinet sticking out from the wall. The cabinet can be installed with the cabinet door opening on the left or right, so you can install it on the side that makes the most sense for your space. The cabinet’s door exterior is a finished white that can be left as is or painted to match other cabinets in your space. Inside the cabinet is an ironing board that measures 11.75” wide and 41” long, large enough for comfortable ironing while still being small enough to not take up too much space. The ironing board can rotate a full 90 degrees to the right or left, giving you the flexibility to position the board in the most comfortable and convenient space in whatever area you install the cabinet in. The cabinet also has a built-in height adjustment slot for the board, allowing you to raise or lower the board two inches at any time after installation. The board includes a one-piece construction cover and pad with bungee cord binding and stain and scorch-resistant coating for superior durability. In addition to the ironing board, the cabinet has two interior shelves to house a small iron and/or ironing accessories. The top interior shelf has heat-resistant paneling to protect the shelf when stowing irons that are still warm. Additionally, the top corner of the cabinet door has a dual-pronged hook so you can hang up freshly ironed items or items to be ironed. Cabinet must be installed in-wall between 16-inch on center studs. Ironing board opens 11 inches above bottom of cabinet, so keep that in mind when selecting height for cabinet installation. Cabinet door extends 28.5” from wall with door open and 44.5” from wall with ironing board extended straight forward. Interior of the cabinet measures 13.25” W x 5.375” D. Shelves are shallower than full cabinet depth.

Installed built in ironing board during a laundry room remodel. The cabinet is heavy and well made. The cabinet holds a standard size iron and other supplies.
