The extendable arms fit on the counter and the rack sits 6” above the bottom of the sink, so that any water in the sink won’t touch the clean dishes. This is made out of solid non bendable metal, very sturdy. I Just cant figure out how it would hang over sink... unless its for those thin farmhouse sinks. My divider is too wide. Nonetheless its a nice little basket that allows air to circulate my non rrefrigerated vegetables. It does fit over my cabinet door but then that doesnt close.
