Wow! This is cute. I was scared because I had to cut my drywall to recess it into the wall. I found my studs, marked them, centered the shelf in-between. I had my daughter hold it up, i traced it with a pencil and cut it out with a drywall knife. It slid right in. I screwed it to the studs....so easy. The whole process took 20 minutes. I love it. Overall, this is a well-made and sturdy wall-mounted medicine cabinet with mirror. It looks great once installed and feels like a quality piece. When it arrived, the top was damaged and looked like it may have been previously handled or improperly cleaned. The finish appeared to be deteriorating, similar to what can happen when an abrasive cleaner is used on this type of painted surface. (For cabinets like this, it's best to clean the painted finish with mild soap and water, while only the mirror should be cleaned with glass cleaner.) Thankfully, customer service resolved the issue right away, and I was very happy with how they handled it. The reason I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is the smell inside the cabinet. My husband assembled the cabinet and didn't notice any odor during installation. I only noticed it after it was mounted on the wall when I opened the doors. It has a noticeable burnt or smoky smell inside the cabinet that has lingered for over a week. I'm hoping it eventually goes away, but since the cabinet is already installed, returning it really isn't practical. Lastly, as several other reviewers mentioned, the assembly instructions could be clearer. Fortunately, I had already read the reviews before putting it together, and one review pointed out a step that wasn't well explained, which made the assembly much easier. The mirrored front is large and clean-looking, and I really like that the inside of the door is mirrored as well. The glass shelves provide plenty of room for toiletries, medicine, skincare products, and other bathroom essentials without everything feeling crowded. The cabinet itself feels sturdy and well made. Because of the size and weight, though, this isn’t something I’m comfortable just throwing up on the wall myself. It also has electrical components, so I’m currently waiting for an electrician to help me get it properly mounted and connected. Once it’s installed, I think it’s going to look great and be a major upgrade for the bathroom. I’m giving it 4 stars for now mainly because I haven’t been able to fully install it and test everything yet. First impressions are very good, though. Just be prepared for the size—it’s BIG! Love the quality of this medicine cabinet that doesn't look like one and it fit perfectly in my existing medicine cabinets cut out. Love that you can change out the pictures. This medicine cabinet is very nice and high quality. I so wish I could give it 5 stars but unfortunately Im unable to recess mount it due to pipes in the wall and I just didnt like the way it looks surface mounted because its 5 inches deep.
