The bed looks exactly as pictured online. Assembly is tedious intakes quite some time. One thing to note is the shelf on either side is not actually Wood. It is some type of hard material but it is covered with a padded vinyl wood grain look. I would have given the items 5 stars, but one of the drawer fronts had the holes for the cam screws drilled in the wrong position. The drawer front cannot be attached to the drawer box. For the price point, these were pretty much what I'd expected...not great, but not bad either. They will do, since they are for a guest bedroom and won't get a lot od use. The assembly is what you would expect for any flat pack. Takes time to do it right the first time; the assembly instructions were clear enough and all the hardware parts were individually packed. The drawers don't slide all that smoothly, but there again you sort of get what you pay for. The Customer Service request for replacement part is easy to use and straigtforward.
