It took close to five hours to put together... but I thoroughly read the directions before starting, then didn't rush. Took about four times stopping and starting... First run was 2.5 hours, then shorter spurts with a 10 y/o "helping". It was not difficult to put together; the directions were actually very good. We have two pieces with cracks, but they seemed superficial and surface-level. One edge on the back was not trimmed to slide the backing in - had to take a knife to the plastic trim blocking the groove. The lights around the mirror have three color tones, plus you can adjust brightness. My daughter also loves the LED strip inside the glass top. This closet system makes very creative use of space. It’s the only system I found that accommodates for a dressing table in a reach in closet. I absolutely love it!!! There are a few very important details to note here prior to purchasing. When installing this system, you will want to install it at the height stated in the instructions as the “ minimum length from floor to unit.” If you install it any higher, the dressing table will probably be too tall to put a stool there and get ready at a comfortable height. Do note that in doing this height, the hanging length for clothes you will have on the bottom rod is the minimum suggested (36”). If you are somebody who is tall with long clothes, this may not be the best fit for you. For me it is just right. Also be aware that for hanging space to be on both sides of the main dressing table unit, you need to have a wall on each side. If you have a long double closet opening without a wall in between this could present an issue. Lastly, all of the weight is obviously supported by the wall. In order to mount into the studs, we had to drill additional holes to get both the support from the studs, as well as positioning the closet system in a way that made the best use of space. I chose not to use the provided mirror and got a LED style bathroom mirror that lights up instead. All in all this is a great closet system at a great price.
