This really is a beautiful rug, it does say that it’s washable but the size I got is way too large so I will not be able to wash it in a standard machine. It does have more white in it than I expected so if you have young children or pets, you may wanna put it somewhere where it’s off-limits to them. I put mine in the guest room, which is not used on a frequent basis and the door is shut, so the animals cannot get in the color combination is extremely appealing. I like this rug runner a lot. It is protecting my carpet in a heavy traffic area. It is nice to look at and soft to walk on but not slippery, in fact it hasnt moved on the carpet since I put it down either. It feels secure. It also blends in well, neutral and not too obvious. Another reason I wanted the floor protected here is because my new puppy keeps peeing in this spot. I was so impressed to see that when she peed on the rug (it was inevitable) that it formed a bubble on top and didnt soak in. There must be some stain protection. This made my day!. Colleen.
