Our natural variation accent shelves are not stained and the color can vary from piece to piece. With thick and sturdy handmade raw metal brackets, these versatile shelves make a great addition to any room. Please note that the brackets must be mounted into wall studs. The shelf is gorgeous and HEAVY. Simple to install - all you need is a drill, hammer, and tape measure. The wood is obviously much darker than pictured, which I was a little disappointed about. I was also disappointed that “normal” sized books do not fit on the shelf.
