The headboard came with a big crack in a panel. I got the bed in a few days and the replacement will not come for a week. I picked this one partly because of the quick shipping and will I have to wait to get the broken replacement parts. It does come in a ton of pieces. You have to put it all together. The Wayfair rep told me I had to repackage the item and drop them off at FedEx which is not my responsibility. I’m waiting to hear from a supervisor but haven’t and that was 4 days ago. We just bought a new home and we have many more rooms to furnish. I am a Wayfair Rewards member and have been very happy with all previous orders up until the last 3 shipments. If this isn’t resolved I won’t be purchasing anything else. We simply do not have the time to assemble, reassemble or take damaged items to FedEx. Disappointing. First grade select pine for a great value and hand applied finish on solid wood provides a unique look. This type of joinery has been used for years in quality furniture making and ensures stability and durability on every piece. Each piece is made to replicate antique/reclaimed wood parts and pieces, which means each item is unique. To provide this look, cracks, knots, knot-holes, splits and uneven rubbed edges are purposely left intact from original pieces of wood and in many instances additional man-made distressing is given to emphasize its rustic charm. These are not product defects but unique features that add beauty and character. Accordingly, expansion or shrinkage, small cracks and wood imperfection are inherent qualities of our product. Variation is what makes each piece unique, natural and exclusive.

A wonderful wooden bed. The directions are very detailed. When they say don't tighten the screws until the very end of the steps, believe them! It won't assemble otherwise. The headboard is a very heavy and substantial piece. A simple but great look. It's a little lower than I expected but I should have paid more attention to the dimensions.
