Van Gogh's intensity seems to shine through the starlit cobblestones and brightly burnished primaries of this Arles street cafe. When exhibited for the first time, in 1892, the painting was entitled Coffeehouse, in the Evening. The painting is not signed, but described and mentioned by the artist in his letters on various occasions to his brother. The authentic stretched canvas replica painting captures the original work's texture, depth of color, and even its subtle brushstrokes, which are applied by hand. The replica 4.375" wide, European style, bright gold-toned, ribbed frame is cast in quality designer resin with an acanthus leaf and floret border that draws the eye toward the beautiful image.
