Vietri Christmas Dinnerware

Delight in the holiday magic as handpainted fir trees and bright cardinals drift across the fresh white canvas of each handcrafted piece in the Lastra Holiday sixteen-piece place setting. This cheerful set is handpainted on Italian stoneware in Tuscany and includes 4 European dinner plates, 4 salad plates, 4 pasta bowls, and 4 cereal bowls. A region in central Italy, Tuscany is known for its landscapes, history, craftsmanship, and influence on culture. The birthplace of the Renaissance, Tuscany is often called the art palace of Italy, and many of the world's greatest works of art come from the region. Stoneware has a long legacy in the area and maintains its place of importance in the region today. Signor Stefano Roselli is the master molder for a stoneware cooperative located in a small town seven miles outside of Florence, and he is the creator of this collection. Vietri has worked with Stefano and factory owner Franco Ammannati for close to 15 years, creating and bringing to market dinnerware collections, vases, urns, and other home decor products.

I am a lover of beautiful dishware but after a few sets being beautiful and broken by my husband and kids I decided to try these. They are heavy and most people can't even tell they are melamine - we were entertaining the other day and a mom asked if I had any paper plates for her kids because she didn't want them to break my beautiful plates. 5 stars! Just be careful if you are trying to expand your set buying the individual place settings won't match.. Megan D.. Wed Jul 24 2024
