"Versace and Spagnol," captured by Slim Aarons on June 1, 1983, in the serene beauty of Lake Como, Italy, radiates the effortless glamour of fashion's elite. This enchanting photograph portrays Italian fashion designer Gianni Versace and Lalla Spagnol relaxing on a motor launch, their stylish presence framed by the sparkling waters and the majestic facade of Versace's 17th-century villa. The scene captures the heart of 1980s lakeside leisure, weaving creative genius with tranquil sophistication, evoking a timeless romance that continues to enchant lovers of Italian elegance and waterfront allure. Slim Aarons (1916–2006), born George Allen Aarons, rose from humble origins and World War II combat photography to become a celebrated chronicler of the elite, vowing post-war to photograph only "attractive people doing attractive things in attractive places," with his works gracing magazines like Town & Country and now preserved in the Getty Images archive. This exquisite reproduction from Soicher Marin is printed on premium luster photo paper using state-of-the-art techniques, ensuring vibrant colors, sharp details, and enduring quality that brings a touch of mid-century sophistication to any space.

This was more beautiful and higher quality than I expected. When held up to the light, it has the translucency of very high end bone China. Far more beautiful than the pictures show it. I ordered This expecting it to be a cheap Rosenthal Versace knock off. It may be a knock off, And it may be affordable can but it’s definitely NOT cheap low quality. I have a piece of real Versace and I actually think this Is just as beautiful - dare I say more so (?). *ONE* draw back is I noticed the paint on one of the cups wasn’t finished all the way where the bottom of the handle meets the cup (see pics), but you hardly notice it, and it’s not a reflection of the overall quality. It’s kind of like Waterford Crystal. It’s hand made so Each piece is slightly different. Anyhow, I was so impressed I ordered 2 more sets for a setting for 12. If they made bread & butter plates and cream soup bowls, I would probably order those too. Here it is on my table. It looks great on a white cloth and stunning on a black cloth as well. It also looks great mixed with other china. See the pictures... enjoy! . Mike. Burien, WA. Sat May 02 2020
