For the price of $809 and free shipping this was worth it for me. Having said that, there are issues. The ash drops through a chute BEHIND and underneath the unit. I have not figured out what can be put back there to collect ashes. It will have to be a wide short metal bucket of some type. I think this should have been mentioned and provided or be for optional order. Then there is the ridiculous excuse for an owners/instruction manual. How hard would it have been to expand that just a little...for instance...I do not know what the lever in front underneath the firebox is for...I assume for dropping ash.......then there is the problem of .....is the back position closing up the ash drop, or is the forward position that causes ash to drop? The unit was built in November of 2025 and arrived Dec 15, 2025 but all that notes that on the metal sheet from the back is a dimple in a box, and for the model number. I might have bought a different make of wood stove had I known all the above for $100 more plus the separate purchase of a blower....and all of them seemed to be out of stock. Then there is the metal sheet on the back that has the serial number on it. How hard would it have been to make a copy of that for the owners/instruction manual?. Richard. Marble Falls, TX. Here's how it works: the primary air inlet at the front of the stove ignites the wood upon start-up. Once burning, the secondary air inlet at the rear of the firebox feeds air to the top of the stove through three (3) ignition tubes directly above the wood. The result is that you have ignition, or fire, at the bottom and at the top of the wood stove which, in effect, consumes the wood. This is a very efficient method of getting the most energy possible out of the wood that you are burning. The AW1120E-P model replaces the previous Vogelzang models TR001, TR001B, TR001WS, and APS1100 wood stoves.

All around a nice gas range. Heats up quickly, cleans up easily, and burners are powerful. I gave it a 4 star rating only because the grates and burner caps became discolored very quickly. Had issues with smell from first hot fire up, wife was very upset. Seems to be over that issue, running furnace at low heat is working very well now. Makes a lot of heat with very little wood.
