Love these curtains! They say they are blackout and if I had blinds for my windows they most likely would be. They do filter out quite a bit of light even with no blinds and have significantly cooled down the temperature in the room. These curtains are nice. The velvet fabric feels lovely. The creases came out after ten minutes in the dryer on low heat with a damp hand towel. My only complaint is that the side edges are shorter and lift up at the bottom, so they aren't consistently at the same length when hung. They are truly room darkening. I bought the mauve and gray. The mauve color is very muted; both are beautiful. I I Love the material, the quality, and how well they blackout the sun. They are lined, which helps with energy efficiency. On the outside looking in, the mauve ones are a silky cream color and the gray ones are a silky light gray, which is way better than plain white like many of them are. Bonus points for being weighted. Only knock is that getting the wrinkles out takes some elbow grease. Steamer didn't work. Do not iron them directly. Curtain rod is actually the one bought and did a review on, now with the blackout curtains. The curtains are velvety and the bedroom is now about 70 darker than before. I would have appreciated it mor if the bacoutwr curtain that faced towards the window was covered by a a much thicker material, it would have made a much better difference.
