The stool fits together in a compact design to conserve space. The stool is sturdy for the most part, however, the piece of wood that attaches to the top broke off without much movement at all. But the side drawers are actually only one deep drawer instead of 2 so that there’s only a total of 3 drawers.That information would have been helpful in the description! We’ve had this vanity for a year now and my 8 year old daughter uses it daily. It’s easy to clean (which is great when you have a younger child experimenting with make up) and is sturdy. The light on the mirror has multiple settings which is great when applying make up. I often find myself using this vanity when getting ready as I like the lighting better than my bathroom. The size is perfect for a young girl and teenager. It’s decent for an adult as well, but maybe a little small if you have more skin care and make up that you want to store in the vanity.
