I have waffled on this between four and five stars. The chair is every bit as weighty and good looking as the pictures show. Not quite a chesterfield but chesterfield-like. The "faux leather" certainly feels as you would expect pleather to feel. I'm a fan of full grain leather typically but given the option of this versus a 2k+ chair of real leather it is a good compromise. I will say the following though as a "con" of sorts. There are a few comments here about the pitch of the seat. As an amateur woodworker I mistook this as not understanding that a proper seat needs pitch to be comfortable. The basic pitch (with the back locked) is a bit more than I thought it would be and I can see how a smaller person may not like it. I'm 6' and have it at top height so it works for me, but just be aware that the pitch of the seat is a bit more than you may be used to.. Andrew. Owens Cross Roads, AL. Sun Sep 13 2026

The chair is tall and impressive and few chairs make more of a statement, with finely hand-carved details on both the front as well as the back and carved regal lion masks flanking each arm all of which add to the prominence. The chair is hand-carved out of solid Mahogany and finished in an extensive hand-applied stunning gold leaf. Another exclusive design and finish from our Heritage Collection, a collection of fine, handmade furniture in the purest of standards of age-old traditional crafting. Each piece is hand-carved, one piece at a time, by some of the world's best carvers. The special Mahogany wood comes from replanted forests. The selected wood has been kiln-dried. The item in its final form is stress and pressure-tested before finishing to ensure long-lasting stability, in most climates. Sold separately but often ordered in pairs. First off , the box it came in was in terrible shape. Whole back was open, corner torn off. Thankfully all the parts were there and the chair was not damaged. But FedEx- come on . Secondly and Im no newcomer to assembling items, the assembly was not a smooth process. Some of the screws took several attempts to bite . As for the chair itself Ive used it for a couple of days. Its fine. The foot rest is rather flimsy but overall so far Im pleased with the purchase and the price.. Timothy. Saint Johns, FL. Wed Oct 14 2026

Definitely not a chair for smokers. There is a warning in the instructions to not use the chair in the vicinity of open flame or flammable combustible chemicals. That's a little bit concerning to me. And it is something that should have been more prominently disclosed in the online description. I probably would have changed my selection. Aside from that the chair was relatively easy to assemble, although the final steps would probably be easier with two people, so if you're a singleton you definitely want to be aware of that fact. And it's brand new state, the chair functions as it should and is very comfortable. We'll see what things are like in 6 to 12 months.. Earlene. Lancaster, PA. Sun Oct 18 2026
