Very sturdy ,the music feature is a plus. I cant use a skirt due to the extension cord for lights needing room to move.I think I solved the problem by ordering a " tree collar",which I've noticed is also being used these days. It's a clean uncluttered look that surrounds the tree stand base, yet leaves open space for the movement of the wires out of sight.
