Personally I think it was damaged in transit but there were chips in the paint on most of the drawers so maybe not. I would have just touched it up with some paint but then while unpacking it I noticed huge damage to one of the side drawers that would make it impossible to assemble. Much of the Styrofoam packaging was crumbled and getting all over the place which made it all the more infuriating as I had spent an hour slowly unpacking and wiping down the pieces. I think this dresser is great! It fits the rest of the decor in my room very well. You cant fit too much into each drawer, as theyre not that deep, and some of the wood parts used for this are cheap and fragile (so be careful when building it). But other than that I think its a decent size for my room and is beautiful in color. Added bonus! Customer service is great. A piece came broken, and Wayfair and the manufacturer immediately came to the rescue in replacing the broken piece. Do I think this dresser will last long-term Absolutely not. I followed the instructions to a T and tried every adjustment I could think of to remedy that, but the drawers (especially the left side ones) just refuse to stay completely flush.. Edward. Well this piece I think was package pretty well FedEx couldnt damage it which is good thing. My opinion the overall quality of the material used was not of the best that could have been used probably in my opinion but the veneer on it is very thin. Not a fan of the camlock system thats used to hold it together it just leaves unsightly the locks and everything inside the drugs and stuff its just to me it doesnt look very good but overall if its someone needs something its not a bad piece to have..
