Assembly could have gone smoother. My drill was too big, my screw driver was too big. Some holes werent pre drilled and yet, by time I put it together (which I didnt realize I was going to have to do) I absolutely loved it. I would give it Five Stars but my only issue is the larger box got pretty banged up during shipping and the frame separated a little bit which prevents the box too from closing correctly. The picture you've all been waiting for... Yep holds albums. I was hoping to flip the box on its side so that you can read the spines, but I miscalculated. They will not fit. However, as you can see, two rows of vinyl fit just fine with the box positioned as intended. This is about 80 records. I love how solid and sturdy the crate is. The wood does have a lot of very large knotholes on every side (not shown in the photos) but my main complaint is that I ordered the color “white” but when the item arrived it had no stain of any kind—it’s raw wood. I was expecting “white” to mean that a whitewashed or “pickled” stain was used instead of a dark finish like the other 2 options offered.
