These stairs were so easy to put together I was amazed. Just make sure to follow the directions because we put all the stairs in when we were just supposed to put the first one on and we had to then take them all off which was a little trickery. VinTread mats feature 1-inch wide threads with 3/4-inch space between them assembled onto flexible vinyl ribbons for easy roll-up. This is one of the more comfortable mats in our line-up. Product is manufactured in 40' rolls of 2, 3, or 4 foot widths and we cut them to order. Once you get the mat, if it is too big, it is easy to cut down the length of the mat. Soft vinyl ribbons joining the threads are easy to cut through with a utility knife. However if you wish to cut down the width of the mat - this may be a bit of a challenge as you will need to use a saw.
