Had a bit of trouble getting the cardboard base to stay flat inside the box. Also, the fabric doesn’t slide well across carpet if you’ve got the box fully loaded. I alleviated both of these problems by cutting a thick sheet of cardboard and supergluing to the bottom. The glue inadvertently soaked through the thin fabric on the bottom of the bin and also glued the inner support board into place. Now the bin feels more solid. The bed is a nice bed, actually built well. The reason I gave it a 4 star is (1) the blue design around the bottom of the bed is deceiving. It is not like that in the picture. There are LED lights that go around the top of the wave, that is what I call it, but it does not shine like that. It just lights up the floor. You don't even see the wave as blue. (2) After it was put together I could not lower the lift frame at all to be able to put on the mattress. I messaged the help line, they were good but wanted me to send a bunch of videos. We managed to get the mattress on top of the lift as it was up in the air and then pulled down, hard and it went down. Quite a struggle but it worked. All in all we are happy with the bed. This bed is so freaking cute to me! It did take my son in law and step son about 4 hours to put together just because there are so many pieces to this bed with shelvesetc but I love it. My mom is elderly has a lot of diabetic supplies and can accidentally knock things off her old night stand that had no back. I love this Murphy bed. Assembly wasn't difficult at all and can CERTAINLY been done by one person. It took me about 5 hours by myself.
