Overall I am very happy with this rug. But be warned that the color is very different than pictured. In daylight, it is more of a graygreen and darker than photos. A lovely design just right for our comfortable, busy kitchen! the 2' x 6' size covers the floor in front of our sink and dishwasher, catching small drips of water and remaining comfortable under foot. Its very low profile helps avoid stumbles and its rubbery backing keeps it from slipping (although it can gradually move slightly out of place). This doormat looks like it will work great for grabbing dirt from outside on shoes and paws so it doesn’t track into the house. The reason I think this is that the material is rougher, and woven so that surface up close is not smooth and flat. It’s more like a loop weave. I am not sure how absorbent it will be, but it does seem like you could absorb excess fluid with a towel if needed. Perfect mat for my kitchen. It’s thin but that’s what I wanted. The solid rubber backing keeps the mat firmly in place and anything that drips on it is easily cleaned up, which is great for where I placed it, in front of the sink. Got the 10 x 13. My living room is 11 x 16 so it fills it up perfectly. I was nervous is would be creased and flimsy but it definitely isn't. laid out flat right out the box. Weighed 34 lbs.
