Nice chair but the seat height is not 19" as the specs stated....it measures 17-1/2". That discrepancy is the reason this chair did not get 5 stars. I love this chair! It is sturdy and comfortable. Some say the cushion is too firm, but I think it is perfect. I don't want to sink into a cushion too much because it makes it hard to get out of the chair. The fabric is very good quality. The chair itself I like, it’s sturdy and make of heavy real wood. The chair is pretty comfortable though the quality of the cushions I don’t believe would hold up to long term use. This is in our basement so I think it will be fine for here and there. Why 4 stars The assembly was terrible. The instructions were not clear. They need to provide different Allen wrench, lucky got me my husband had a tool that helped or I was so frustrated. So get yourself the auto retract took or this will take forever to assemble due to the way the holes are set. Also note there should be another step they combined two and it was confusing to the point I had to take part off and redo. It does sit lower for a living room chair too so note that. Beautiful Chair! I love the feel and size - it is more substantial than most chairs of this design, so check the dimensions. I will say the coloring in the photo is different than in real life. The leather is more brown than gray and the wood is not a natural white oak color- it has a light brown stain and then kind of a whitewash that lays in the grain on the arms/legs. They look good in my space, but I could definitely see a scenario where the color is different enough to be a deal breaker on the chairs. I'd recently also assembled some teak patio chairs that are very similar in style, so I had a very good comparison, and the build quality and engineering of this chair is really quite good for the price point, it is incredibly comfortable, and I love the upholstery and the shade of blue. I was (finally!) authorized to replace some child worn furnishings and these chairs were one of my first buys.
