Personally I think it was damaged in transit but there were chips in the paint on most of the drawers so maybe not. I would have just touched it up with some paint but then while unpacking it I noticed huge damage to one of the side drawers that would make it impossible to assemble. Much of the Styrofoam packaging was crumbled and getting all over the place which made it all the more infuriating as I had spent an hour slowly unpacking and wiping down the pieces. My only complaint is that, after using for a period of time, we noticed the center was not raised enough and seemed to be slightly sagging. I absolutely love this dresser! It fits perfectly in my odd shaped spare bedroom! It does have small drawers like others have mentioned, but I knew the dimensions when I purchased. Its a great dresser for a spare room, or maybe a nursery! Im really pleased with the final product! It looks great (drawers are all aligned, and open close nicely)! It feels sturdy and solid. The assembly was time consuming and tedious, but overall pretty straight forward! As you can see in one of the photos, theres a LOT of pieces to put together! It was packaged well everything was labeled nicely. The instructions were easy to follow. I put it together by myself (60 yr old woman) with no problems, though Ive assembled a lot of furniture, which probably helped!
