Amazing bed!! Putting it together definitely requires two people but it has very straightforward instructions. At a 140lbs I was able to climb on it and the bed was extremely sturdy. It took me four hours by myself to put together but the instructions were ok and all the hardware was there. Construction of the wood parts was good. It's very solid and I love having the trundle option under the bed. Just remember that you need a thinner mattress for the trundle pull out than for the top bed. Everything is good enough. It is very sturdy. There were a couple of really annoying instructions-related mistakes I made that are obvious once you get far enough in the assembly process but not obvious when you're just following the instructions. There is a velcro thing that's not on the right side of something, and there is no way the something should be flipped because it's bolted in a specific way. Not super consequential. The biggest issue, and the reason I almost returned, is a huge gap between the headboard shelves and the top of the mattress. Like a kid's head sized gap. My kid moves all around in her sleep, and clearly a lot of kids do, hence the railing-- and it's not out of the realm of possibility that she'll get her head into this gap, so I have to stuff pillows in there to secure it. The LED light cords are also right behind the gap (not in pic bc they weren't hooked up yet) which isn't ideal. Silly design flaw here, imo. There should just be something that closes this gap.. Got this twin bed for my daughter and honestly it’s way nicer than I expected for the price. The velvet feels really good to the touch, not cheap at all, and the scalloped headboard is such a cute shape. Bonus it doesn’t show smudges, which is clutch with a kid using it every day. We are very happy with this loft bed. It looks beautiful, feels sturdy, and has really helped maximize the space in my daughter’s room. She now has plenty of room underneath for studying, doing her makeup, and storage. The only issue was the ladder. The steps are narrow and hard on bare feet, and the included pads would roll and didn’t provide enough cushioning. We solved this by adding foam padding around each rung and covering it with soft material. It made a huge difference and the ladder is now much more comfortable to use.
