Me and my husband put the bed together and we got it done in about an hour. Once together we realized that we needed a little more support for our foam mattress because the metal slats were not wide and had to much space between them to give good support. We just put the cardboard the frame came in on top of the frame and it worked great. The frame is very sturdy and i needed that support being over 200 lbs. Very disappointing, the bed I received does NOT have the same detail as the photos on the website. This is great. Seems structurally stable. Easy to put together. Two complaints. The silver metal bolts are visible on the outside of the posts, so I’m spray painting those to match the frame. The bigger complaint is that the mattress slides. The bottom rails are smooth and flush. there’s no recessed area for the mattress to sit in to keep it in place.
