It took me four hours by myself to put together but the instructions were ok and all the hardware was there. Construction of the wood parts was good. It's very solid and I love having the trundle option under the bed. Just remember that you need a thinner mattress for the trundle pull out than for the top bed. This is a beautiful bed! Well made, except for one manufacturing defect. One of the holes for the headboard to connect to the leg post was not drilled. This bed was bought for my guestroom. It fits perfectly without taking up too much space, but still looks nice. The color was a perfect match for the existing furniture in the room. It was easy to put together and feels very sturdy. I have high pile carpet, so I was concerned with how smooth pulling the trundle bed out would be, but I did not have any issues with it. The bottom pulls out easily. I purchased a 6" mattress for the bottom frame and it fits well. There is some room left, so I may just get an 8" when it's time to replace the mattress.
