I’m pleased with this purchase. It was a bit challenging to assemble on my own since I have short arms and the front and back of the unit are preinstalled. Also because the particle board in the back was a bit warped it was difficult to get the top to line up when assembling the final bolts. It’s definitely a two person job. But the solid word portion is good quality and I’m pleased the cherry color is a close match to my other furniture. If it’s delivered to your home when you are not there you’ll need a dolly to get it inside. It’s extremely heavy when all packaged together. It took 43 minutes to assemble. Its lightweight but sturdy. It looks like solid wood and very good quality. I appreciate how they packaged the hardware needed. You will need a screwdriver. The only downside for me was the last step of screwing in part number 8 would be easier if you apply it before putting on the top shelf. Nice cabinet that feels a little smaller than expected. It includes white wooden knobs that I switched out with others to coordinate with another furniture piece. For reference, in my photo, the baskets are 16” D x 9” W x 6” H as positioned, to give an idea of what would fit on a shelf. We are using this as a sideboard/bar in our dining room. I looked for a "distressed" black sideboard for a long time that was the right size to fit our small space, but tall enough to comfortable pour drinks and have plenty of storage space inside. Both sides have an adjustable shelf that can go up or down a notch. It took me a minute to figure out the shelf can only be moved after removing screws underneath that secure the shelf to the shelf brackets (I assume for transporting). I chose not to put the screws back in once I adjusted the shelf - no need for it, and it will make it easier to move the shelf again should I decide to. The distressed finish is actually a little more than what I thought it would be, but I don't mind since it goes well with my old window frame hanging above it. The depth of the credenza is also nice and allowed for a large lamp and tray. My only concern will be the durability of the wood. I looked for a mango wood or similar and took a gamble with this which is made of boxwood. It isn't as thick and sounds a bit hollow if you knock on the top of the piece, but the credenza is quite heavy and I am pleasantly surprised by how substantial it feels. Would recommend.. Andrea. Well built and 7 years in, still cooking along. There are some dings, but it has resisted scratching remarkably well. The color has gotten redder over time, which I don't love with warm colored furniture, but it hasn't turned orange, which is the worst. Came damaged. I believe it was due to Fed Ex negligence as the guy hand lifted my console yo my door and dropped it a small distance when setting it down. He knew I saw him do it. Anyway, damage on side that he dropped it. Coincidence maybe but who knows. I like the console but eye sore with damage. Wayfair offered me to return for replacement or 25% discount.
