It's four stars because some of it is plastic. This unit is not all metal but it still functions and works really well. One important thing to note is that the handheld wand is activated by a manual lever behind the shower head. Finally finished the shower tile and took a shower. Great shower head that is easy to use and looks great while doing it. Ordered in champagne bronze for a master bathroom renovation. Impressive size and gorgeous look. I like the idea of the button to change the settings. It has yet to be installed so I can't comment on the functionality, but I have high hopes. Update: We've now been using the shower head for over a year. The spray is sufficient (the new ones with flow restrictions are never great). It's easy to change the spray pattern, although we find we like one more than the rest anyway. My husband likes the ability to stop the water flow entirely at the push of a button without losing the temperature setting. One downside is that it shows water spots like crazy.
