The assembly went well. The color is a darker gray, although it did say taupe. We’re keeping it for the fact that it’s still matches in our room. This chair replaced a loveseat that we didn’t need anymore. It accommodate a taller person with longer legs due to the dimensions of the cushion from knee to hip. it is a little lower to the ground than I anticipated, but it is doable. The sofa arrived vacuum-packed and heavily compressed, so we allowed time for the item to expand and recover after unpacking. However, it has now been 13 days, and the sofa still has significant visible issues that do not appear to be normal settling. The fabric remains heavily crushed, patchy, and uneven across multiple areas, including the arms, back, and seat cushions. There are visible pressure/compression marks that have not lifted or improved with time. Several sections also look uneven, flattened, and worn, which is very concerning for a newly purchased item. This does not appear to be normal velvet shading or light variation from the fabric nap. The marks are pronounced, inconsistent, and visible across multiple areas of the sofa. The overall appearance is much closer to a damaged or defective item than a new piece of furniture. I’ve had this couch for about two weeks and would give it 3 stars. I ordered the beige, and the color is pretty accurate to the listing photos. I will admit that I didn’t realize when ordering that this is a completely frameless couch. It arrives fully vacuum sealed and is essentially made entirely of foam/cushioning with no internal frame or structure. It was very easy to unpack and took about 24–48 hours to fully expand. Unfortunately, my first impression was that it looked and felt pretty cheap. The fabric has a very synthetic feel and had a noticeable smell when first opened. Even after fully expanding, the couch is much more wrinkled and less full and structured than it appears in the listing photos. I think you would need to spend quite a bit of time steaming and working with the fabric to get it to look closer to the photos. Comfort-wise, it’s comfortable enough at first, but the lack of a frame becomes noticeable the longer you sit on it. You gradually sink into the foam and the couch starts to lose its shape and structure underneath you. This is especially noticeable toward the ends, where putting too much weight in one area can cause the couch to lean forward to the point where it almost feels like you’re falling off. Overall, it’s functional and relatively comfortable, but it definitely looks and feels like an inexpensive couch. If you’re looking for something casual and don’t mind the completely frameless construction, it may work for you.
