Garry and his wife Diane founded Woodstock Chimes / Woodstock Percussion, in 1979 and it remains based in New York's Hudson Valley. GRAMMY Award-winning musician Garry Kvistad created the first Woodstock Chime from an aluminum lawn chair he found in a landfill. As a professional musician and instrument designer, he was fascinated by the Scales of Olympos, a 7th-century pentatonic scale that can't be played on a modern piano. Garry had the idea to cut and tune the lawn chair chime tubes to the exact frequency of the ancient scale. The resulting Chimes of Olympos was the first Woodstock Chime and is still one of our best-selling wind chimes.

This steel ball has been coated with a handsome, durable finish, so you can enjoy it for years to come. Hang your Heroic Large Wind Chime in a breezy spot and let it play in the wind.

The Heroic Windbell™ Wind Chime is a very nice chime. Made with quality metal material and the sound of the chime is beautiful. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it is extremely heavy. I bought it to hang on a shepards hook by our pool but it is way too heavy. We will need to get a strong mounted hook to support its weight. Overall very happy because it is a uniquie item.. Bonny. BEAUTIFUL AND LOVE THE SOUND AS THE WIND FLOWS THROUGH THE SYMBOLS. Robert. Winchester, KY. Tue Apr 28 2026

When the wind blows, this wind chime plays the familiar notes of London's Big Ben, pealing out the glorious sound. This wind chime plays the famous tones of London's Big Ben, pealing out glorious sounds of celebration and spiritual richness. The unique sound of these long tubes is the result of the special way their brain perceives the vibrations from their ear known as the missing fundamental (when a sound's overtones suggest a frequency to their ear which the sound itself lacks). Their Westminster Wind Chime plays the same traditional and joyous melody as the Westminster quarters heard in the streets of central London for over 150 years. Pause a brief while with me, to hear. The chime which is floating sweet and clear. Above the city's rush and roar, as a wild bird's song by a lakelet's shore.

Absolutely beautiful sound. Very reminiscent of church bells. So peaceful and grounding to hear while sitting outside amongst nature.. Meredith. Plainfield, IL. Sat May 02 2026

Must be heard! The special acoustic effect makes this Raga scale extra soothing. Their Magical Mystery Taj Mahal Wind Chime features a musical phenomenon known as Octave Doubling. Here's how it works you remember the Do-Re-Mi-Fa-So-La-Ti-Do scale from the Sound of Music? The "Do" notes that come at the start and end of this scale are the same note, an octave apart. Notes separated by an octave are considered harmonically equivalent and "ring" together in a way that adds a pleasing sound to the music. Their Magical Mystery Taj Mahal Wind Chime take this theory to the extreme each note of this chime is matched with its "octave double." Never before used in windchimes, this special tuning creates a heightening of the harmonics, creating a song that must be heard to be believed. When doubled, the notes of a North Indian Raga scale sound as grand as the Taj Mahal. This chime’s sound is mysterious and peaceful. It’s as lovely as the story behind the famous palace. Inspired by love, an emperor had the Taj Mahal built in memory of his beloved wife during the 17th century. Enjoy the complex layering of this calming chime in your home or garden. The wooden components are made of beech wood, which is durable and has excellent wear resistance. The outdoor wind chime is equipped with thick nylon ropes and "S"-shaped hooks. The anodized aluminum tubes have corrosion resistance and a thickened design. The thickened tube walls result in a more lasting and resonant sound. Each tube is precisely tuned to conform to the pentatonic scale. All these elements are perfectly combined to create this exquisite wind chime. The soothing tones of the wind chime create an atmosphere that helps soothe the soul, relieve stress, and bring comfort to friends and relatives who are in low spirits. The outdoor wind chime will become a precious memento, carrying the memories of love, and helping them recall all the wonderful times they have shared together.

Nominated over 60 times, Corea won 25 GRAMMYandreg; Awards, the first in 1976 and the most recent in 2021. Combines computer-age technology with the very finest artistry and craftsmanship, allowing you to experience a whole new dimension of beautiful sound. Made from super-thick-walled aluminum tubes that are specially suspended, these chimes resonate much longer than other windchimes, bathing you in waves of enduring harmony every time the wind blows. This chime plays the familiar tones heard in the opening measures of amazing grace , one of America’s best loved hymns. The lyrics were written by Englishman John Newton in the late 18th century, and the song has played an important role in drug and alcohol recovery, the Civil War, the Civil Rights Movement and 9/11. Newton’s message of hope and redemption from over 200 years ago resonates with the same power today. Musically tuned using an ancient system known as “just intonation.” This means the frequencies at which the different tubes vibrate are related to one another by simple whole-number ratios. Tones that are related in this way produce the purest, most beautiful musical intervals. May the deep tones of this impressive chime soothe you in times of trouble and delight you in times of joy. This chime carries a lifetime tuning guarantee.

Bells have been used throughout the ages to accompany dance, provide comfort, and warn of possible danger. The Chinese were the first to control the pitch or note of a bell, making it possible for them to play tunes. Soon bells were being used to accompany worship. On New Year's Eve, the bells in Buddhist temples are rung 108 times, once for each of the 108 worldly desires. In the East, bells have become very important and are often decorated with significant symbols. For centuries, tuned bells have been suspended in homes and temples to ward off evil and attract good luck and prosperity. Temple Bells Wind Chime is inspired by these ancient bells and works in harmony with the wind to create gentle, soothing tones.

Tuned to the opening phrase of Debussy's Clair de Lune. This Clair de Lune Wind Chime is tuned to the opening phrase of Clair de Lune, a distinctive melody made up of seven two-note chords. To replicate this, the chime was designed with two different sized clappers, so both the upper and lower tubes are struck at the same time. In this way, it plays “double stops,” or two notes at one time. Clair de Lune translates to “Light of the Moon” or “Moonlight” and is the third movement of the suite bergamasque, one of the most famous piano suites composed by Claude Debussy. First written around 1890, when Debussy was only 28, this melody was used for the Bellagio Fountain scene at the end of Ocean’s Eleven. A true original, there’s no other wind chime designed to play chords in this way.
