This is an elegant, firm sofa that was easy to assemble solo, and this is not something I usually do. I did have a friend help me flip it up onto its legs after assembly. The box arrived really beat up, and I had misgivings as I was unwrapping, but the contents were protected. I have now had this sofa for over a year; I slept on it for three months while fostered cats and kittens took over my bedroom. It would work to use it as a daily bed, but it is VERY firm. The blue velvet fabric has held up nicely despite 2 cats (who fortunately, do not scratch it). I have received many compliments on it; it is the focal point of the sitting area. I like it, but it could be a more flexible cushioning to sit on and against is kinda firm and not super comfy. Also as a "sleeper sofa", only a child or very petite woman might be able to sleep on with a thick comforter or foam added on top. The back of the sofa is not attractive, as they use a thin, bland black fabric for the backing rather than continuous of the velvet Grey. That being said, it is pretty from the front view, and for just myself and maybe one other person at times it will be good. I like the flat, soft velvet more like suede fabric.
