The chairs are beautiful chairs and they match the black oak table we bought perfectly. I have had four of the chairs for over 4 years and recently bought two more chairs. I cannot tell the difference in the old chairs and the new chairs. I would have given a five but I am forced to give a 4 instead. These chairs add a touch of elegance to the room and are very sturdy overall. The only issue I’ve experienced is that the screws don’t stay tight as well as they should, so I find myself having to re-tighten them periodically with regular use. I love these chairs! They are ALMOST exactly as described. Sturdy, easy assembly, and despite other reviews, comfortable. (They are for my formal dining room, so seated sessions will be infrequent and relatively short.) Taupe is a nice neutral color. The legs are stained pretty dark, I would call it black. I almost didn’t buy them because of the schematic dimensions. I even called to confirm dimensions and the rep was obviously looking at the same thing. Schematic indicates 20” high 6” seat. Which would make the chair rise 26” under my 27” table apron. The true dimension from floor to top of seat is 19” - which is perfect for my table.
