This is a high-quality Japanese joinery bed frame. It relies entirely on amazing wood-on-wood tension rather than metal fasteners, nails, or glue. I like the solid hardwood construction. The corner joints slot together smoothly without forced hammering. Really easy to put the joints together. Assembly takes me about 20 minutes by simply following the instructions and interlocking the components in sequence. The precision wood-on-wood joinery eliminates creaking entirely. Very nice bed. The color is exactly what I was looking for. It was packaged nicely, found no damage issues. Solid wood, seems durable. Only issue was during the “putting together” process. One of the holes did not match up properly, so my husband did a little fixing and it all came together without damage or issue. Quality of frame is sturdy, looks nice and fits nicely in our small bedroom. The 4 stars is due to misleading height of headboard and the assembly. It came in a smaller sized box and headboard had to be put together by screwing together many pieces. The inset nuts and bolts of the headboard did not line up properly so it took extra time to figure out a workaround. The black metal railing at end of bed is unnecessary so we didn't install it.
