I ordered the full sized bed with trundle bed for my grandchildren. This bed was not as easy to put together as I thought it would be. It is definitely a 2-person job for parts of it, mostly to be sure you are both interpreting the instructions correctly. The instructions are like one of those optical illusions that change with your focus and everything could be a different direction. All instructions should be like Lego instructions that have the new parts highlighted and the parts that are already put together darkened. The slats that hold the bed are not fastened down so if you are stepping through them without the mattress on, they will just come off. If you take the mattress off at an angle, the slats will come off. That is irritating, but they do seem to stay in place once a mattress is flat on it. The mattress needs to be at least 12 inches high if you don’t want a gap between the mattress and the bottom of the wood back so you don’t drop things behind the bed. The plug works great, but, in my opinion, should be on one side or the other. Probably the side with the shelving. The wood barn-like boards are DEFINITELY NOT white. They are an off-white to beige. The metal pieces are pure white. I was hoping for white, but I’m getting used to the color now. It is sturdy when put together, but again, be careful with the instructions. Change your focus and you will put things on backwards. I still have a small twin mattress on the bed as I wait for the full sized mattress to arrive. The drawers are made of canvas with flat bottoms inserted. The shelves are very sturdy. They are not adjustable. Excellent quality, super sturdy and very easy to assemble!!! My boys ages 11 and 9 helped me (their mom) build it in just a few hours! It’s sturdy enough that I am able to lay in the top bunk with my 11yr old and it holds up great, my husband is 300lb and lays on the bottom bunk with our 9yr old with no issues! Very solid! And we love the pull out trundle twin size bed for when they have their cousins or friends over! We currently have our nugget play couch on the trundle rather than a mattress, but will be getting a mattress for it. The only complaint I have is that it came with absolutely no extra hardware incase a piece is broken or gets lost during set up, not a single extra bolt, screw or wooden dowel, but otherwise we are very happy with this purchase!!. What an incredible find?! We needed to replace the bunk bed at our cabin and were struggling to find a better alternative. Not only did the bed meet Our needs and price range, but thanks to the trundle, it saved so much space without losing any beds or the motif. Assembly was easy (took just under an hour with two people). We were missing two screws for one of the collapsible legs on the trundle, but it still works without that one bar. We already had two 6” mattresses from the old bunk bed, which we reused. It’s helpful for future buyers to know that the 6” was all we could get out of the trundle for it to roll in-and-out from under the bed frame with the comforter and sheets still on. Eventually, we added an 8” mattress to the top, which was even more comfortable and didn’t block the shelf on the headboard. Some of the other reviews say this unit is great as a children’s bed, which is true. But I’d like to add that a family friend and both my parents have used the beds (including my nearly 300 lb father) and it more than supports grown adults as well. My favorite features are the dual 110v outlets with a built-in USB charger, as well as the keyholes in the frame to convert both the trundle and top frame into a full without sliding apart mid-sleep. Only downside I’ve experienced is both frames squeak frequently, but the squeaking is not really enough to create a distraction or lose sleep over. Overall, this bed has been a smashing success. It looks great, supports kids and adults alike, and saves so much of space compared to other guest or bunk beds on the market. It took me four hours by myself to put together but the instructions were ok and all the hardware was there. Construction of the wood parts was good. It's very solid and I love having the trundle option under the bed. Just remember that you need a thinner mattress for the trundle pull out than for the top bed. We had a problem with one piece being broken but Wayfair and the maker of the bed sent a replacement. We only waited a few days. The bed is very nice. My only problem with the bed is that it says to buy a 8” or 12” mattress for the trundle. We purchased the 8” and we are unable to push the trundle back under the bed. This is such a great bed! My daughter is obsessed with pink as you can tell from the pictures. It is such a fun bed for her! The lights are great and color changing. It seems to be built really nice also. Instructions were great which was so nice! The only things that I would change about this bed are putting a couple extra wheels on the trundle part to make it a little easier to put in and out and having the ability to put the headboard on the left or right end of the bed would be nice but these are not dealbreakers.. Got this bed for our son. All in all it’s a very nice bed. Wanted the gray one but settled for the cream color as it is 50 cheaper. The upholstery is beautiful and soft. The bed is sturdy, i just wish the slats and the feet that supports the slats were made of metal. Take note that the maximum thickness of the twin trundle mattress is 8in anything thicker won’t fit. We got a 10inch mattress for the full bed, i think an 8 or a 12inch mattress would work fine too. It took us 2hrs to assemble it. Our son loves the bed. Once we did I was completely surprised to find the color of the upholstery was a hint of a bluegreengray. Needless to say that was not the beige I was expecting. When I reached out they (AI assistant) simply said it was too long so nothing could be done. Unless you are looking for the bluegreen color palette I would NOT recommend this. This take time to put together! You will need a drill to drill in each piece of wood. The fabric is soft and collects dog hair easily. I used sharp scissors to open and nicked the fabric a bit.
