This is so cheaply made. How is this originally $100? Even marked down this isn't worth it. It is almost entirely made of cardboard.. For $43, MARKED DOWN. That is crazy. My cats rarely even use it. When I was assembling it, one of the legs snapped in half. That is how I knew for sure the entire base was pressed cardboard. The pieces fit so tightly together, it should have been easy to put together and it was not. They did replace it no problem, but this is such a poorly constructed piece. Cactus Cat Scratching Post, Cat Scratcher with Sisal Rope and Interactive Hanging Ball, 19.9 Inch Scratching Post for Indoor Cats and Kitten

This is a cute little scratching post, but I was expecting it to be a bit larger. It is sturdy enough that I don’t believe my cat will be able to knock it over while playing or sharpening her claws. One thing I’m not crazy about is the sisal being on the bottom of the post. It is quite thin and looks like the old school yarn they would give you in an eighth grade Home Ec class. As long as it stays attached and doesn’t fray too quickly I’m OK with it. I like the texture of the cactus, (if you will), and the fact that it’s rubbery and flexible. My cat has already owned it. She walked right up and put her scent all over it. The scratching post came quickly and was delivered at my home, not in its usual place and with a few dents in the box but overall handled professionally. Cat scratcher arrived packaged well. The picture where you see my cat is the only time shes touched it. Im giving this 5 stars because I think for a high energy cat this would be perfect! It flops over a d the they could bunny kick and do all kinds of fun stuff with it! Not my cat...I think it scared her. It is very top heavy so when she went to scratch it, it just fell over. It is attached to a spring and the spring should be a little tighter so it could just sway instead of flop. Im going to try to fix it to where the spring is omitted. I think she would use it then.
