Very happy with these- I was replacing some adjustable height stools (one had quit being adjustable) and wanted swivel but without adjustable feature. I liked the look of these and seat height was exactly where the adjustable ones usually “lived”. They feel very sturdy and the seat is ample width and thick firm padding. They are lower profile too so don’t block sight line of counter (upper back sits right at counter level). I think it will be a good height for grandkids too. These are great and very comfortable! If I had one criticism it would be to ignore the instructions when it says to tighten the legs to the foot rail to 100%. Definitely put all screws in (legs to seat and legs to foot rail) at 50%, then align and tighten the legs to the seat to 100% BEFORE you tighten the foot rail..otherwise you will not be able to align the chair legs in a way that minimizes the gaps between the parts, creating pinch points for fingers when scooting in your chair.
