Pleasantly surprised at what you get for the price. Having a grandchild visit from London and needed something for a rapidly growing 3.5 month baby. A lot of the traditional bassinets had weight limits that were too iffy - so this pack and play fit the need. It was relatively easy to assemble by one person in about 30 minutes. It has two levels that the “mattress pad” can be placed. Either on the bottom or half way up and supported. The mobile is ok, nothing fancy but it has music and moves. The little cubby for supplies attaches to either end and is great for wipes, creams, diapers. Then there is the changing “bay” that securely attaches to the top - easily attached or removed. I received the Maxi-Cosi Starling Smart Bassinet as part of a product testing program. This bassinet has saved our sleep! We were originally cosleeping with a traditional non smart bassinet in our room but our velcro baby would not stay asleep in it for long. With this bassinet, we were able to move her to her own room and utilize the smart features to help soothe her when she just needed a little rocking to get back to sleep. If she is in a full blown meltdown, the CryAssist technology alerts us to a potential cause. It's not always the most accurate or the fastest to provide readings, but I feel with some more training-rating the algorithm could potentially read our baby's cries with more accuracy. The app is a little clunky UX-wise, and takes a little getting used to, and there are a TON of tools to the point that it's almost a little overwhelming, but that also means that this bassinet could work for a wide variety of babies, and should appeal to the most data-obsessed parents. Overall we have enjoyed the looks and functionality of this bassinet, and honestly I wish there was an option to convert it to a larger crib! Very easy to unpack/assemble and seems simple to disassemble. Playpen comes in a convenient carrying bag though bassinet and changing table would need to be carried separately. Looks great and feels sturdy for a portable unit. Bassinet is a little short but base has much more cushion than similar models. I wish the hood was a little larger to better shied overhead lights but it's better than nothing. Changing table is a little wobbly but pretty comparable to other portable models and does the trick.. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This play yard has by far been the easiest to setup and I've owned several through out the years with my kiddos. But, what impresses me the most is how light weight it is and the ability to carry it as a backpack. The backpack feature was extremely helpful when I had unexpected surgery and couldn't carry more than 15lbs. Having 3 modes in one play yard means it will be used for many years to come. It's very sturdy and comfortable without being bulky and clunky like others. I like that the mattress sits on the ground instead of raised up with the legs. It makes the play yard sturdier and allows for baby to be able to crawl in and out easily when the zipper on the side is opened. I love how sleek and modern it looks. I’ve used this play yard all over our home, brought it to family members homes, and used it at the office. With every use it gets even easier to setup and pack away.
