While this is great for a commercial business, I have been using it as a trash receptacle for my backyard outdoor kitchen. It has been outside 24/7 for the past 3 weeks and has no signs of rust, even after being exposed to rain. Because it is so heavy, at least 50 pounds, I have not had any problems with it blowing away. The lid id somewhat difficult to remove for me,but my husband had no problem getting it off. I was able to find some huge heavy duty trash bags that fit nicely in it. Bought this specifically for my back porch. My dogs use potty pads often at night, but I dont like throwing them away in the inside can.
